Leg cramps

I don't get leg cramps often, but did I wake up with a doozie this morning! It was my right calf, and I could not for the life of me get my foot to flex, so I used my left foot to push the right one up. It got rid of the cramp, but caused me to cramp in both front shins and my thigh! Who knew this could happen? I am very stiff and sore this morning. I pray for no more!

Bananas! You need to eat some! You need potassium.

Bananas don't work...I've done that, the only thing I've found to work is stretching with your feet a feet or two from the wall and leaning forward to stretch those calves, I do this every time I go to the bathroom during the night. I get those awful leg cramps with every pregnancy and I eat bananas and take calcium!!!

It is such uncontrollable pain...my husband saves me, he rubs out the spasm and yes, I'm very sore the next day!

Sorry to hear about the cramps! I usually take potassium supplements (after I stretch the calves) because I'd have to eat way too many bananas for them to be effective.

I *really* came here to tell you that if you go to the MNTea next year, I want to see the cheesehead and jersey ~ on you and on baby!!

Ouch! Hope that gets better!

See, now I thought leg cramps were from a lack of calcium!! But they are the worst. So quick to come on and so painful! Sorry for you..

Potassium or bananas actually cause my calves and even toes to cramp. Craziest thing! That said, potassium is usually the cure for cramps. I hope you aren't too sore today.
