Baking and Crafting!

I didn't make this one! Drew's class made gingerbread houses last week, and I wanted to share a picture of what it looked like before the boys ate it!

These, however, I did make. Coconut macaroons-YUM! Michael helped with the cherries.

And my gingerbread men-Michael helped with these too! We are expecting a snowstorm tonight/tomorrow with 8-12 inches of snow. I expect that schools will be off, so we will do our regular cutouts then.

This is my new craft (and becoming an addiction!). It is a knitting loom. I started this scarf last night. I hope to go buy more chunky yarn today! I will post pictures of the finished product. I should be doing Christmas cards, but this is so much more fun!

Seriously. Stop the cookie madness!

I haven't even gotten down to Sandy's to do our planning -- long story -- but today was supposed to be our baking day. Today's now going to be our planning day and we're going to bake Monday. That way, Leo will be home and I can bake in peace -- after all, I think he might owe me a day of peace. :)

Snowstorm? I'm jealous! I want snow so bad - although not next week when we have to travel up to Chicago. Yes, weather on MY terms.

Everything looks so yummy.

I have been reading your blog at work and it seems that when I try to comment, it won't allow it to publish....Grrr, but anyway, I HAVE been reading and TRYING to leave comments. Darn blogger (or work computer) whichever it is.

Ok...the gingerbread men are awesome! I have always wanted to do them, but, I'm too chicken...plus, my girls are still so young, I'm not sure I have the patience.
Anyway....they are great!!!!

Your macaroons look great~ I made some today but left out the cherries..not too many cherry fans (but me) here. I love the loom as well..It's been such a long time though I have to relearn how to use the scarf one. Beautiful yarn you are using.

Ok I have to agree with Kim H. Stop the Cookie Madness. I made 4 dozen stainglass cutout cookies last night and was already to post and go Hey Therese check these out! I come here first and see all this. I cry uncle. There is no keeping up with your cookie craze. I love them by the way. They look great. One question....who eats all these cookies? Are you one of those moms who gives a dozen plus cookies to all the teachers/postman/priest/etc.....? Well you go girl.
I will however race you to the end of the scarf. I started a red one. I am practicing my tunisian crochet stitch. I have about as much as you have. Perhaps a bit more.
Ok, this is getting too long for a comment.
Love you. Love your blog. Want a bite of cookie!!
Oh, enjoy your snow and send some to West Texas. We had a cold snap the first part of the week. Yesterday and Today 70 degrees. Sunday we'll be back to 40 for a couple of days. Expecting 65 ish for Christmas Eve and Day.

I'm jealous of the cookies and the crafting! I made some spritz cookies yesterday using my new cookie press. Hoping to make some more today. I'm trying to be patient... I asked Santa for Knitting looms for Christmas. Only a few more days! I've been a really good girl! I'll give you a call soon. We're home now.
