So I had a bad day...

I just need to vent for a moment...had a bad day, and I am going to write this and go to bed.

First and foremost, it is COLD here! We are anticipating -40 wind chills tomorrow, and school has been cancelled tomorrow. It may be cancelled Friday as well as these temps are expected through Noon. Now, I don't mind having the boys home. Actually, I have been running so much this week, that it will be good to stay home. It's just that, well, I AM COLD!

Then, I got a phone call this morning from my aunt. My mom's cousin died on Monday. There are not many people left on this side of the family, so it made me kind of sad. She was 80 and had lived a great life, but it just kind of threw me for a loop.

Later in the day, I received an email that someone from my high school class had died. We were friends (particularly in the beginning of high school), but lost touch after graduation. Her dad, however, was pretty good friends with my dad. My dad was a salesman, and her dad's company was one of his clients. It kind of all came rushing back to me. My parents being gone too young. Someone from my class being gone (the first from our class to die) way too young.

The kicker with both of these deaths? The funerals are both Saturday! I will be running from one to the other to pay my respects. Not the way I thought I would spend the day.

So, tonight, as I was teaching the final highlight of my day hit me. I missed one of my on-call hours at work. I haven't been notified yet, but I hate that I forgot. It's so not like me, and I know it was just the culmination of the day-that and the fact that my 3 year old was whining at me during that time.

May tomorrow be a better day! Thanks for listening!

I am so sorry to hear of your losses. It helps us to remember to love a little more, appreciate even the small things in life, and to be thankful for each day. I am sending warm thoughts your way♥

Maybe it was something in the air but, I had a bad day too. Brenda's email telling us of our friend's passing was the icing on the crap that was my day. Very sad.

I'm sorry for your losses too. That's too much for one day.

It's cold here too. I bet it's colder! LOL (MN)

Hope your day is better today.
I'll say a prayer for you.

I too send ((((HUGS)))) - I wish I lived around the corner, cause you know I'd be bringin' you some lovin'.

Sometimes it doesn't take much to throw us out of whack. Honey, you had a plateful yesterday. I'm glad you got it off your chest - one of the best things about having a blog - and you're doing the next right thing.

Stay inside, make some hot chocolate with the boys, read some books, have some extra snuggle time. Recharge yourself for Saturday and know I'll be praying for you.

Hugs!

I can't imagine that cold weather you all are having right now. I can barely stand it here, and it's only in the 40's during the day.

Here is hoping that things get better for you soon :)
