Baking Day

This...

became this...

Andy and I invested in a Meyer lemon tree 2 years ago. It was tiny!
Last year, we had two lemons (we shouldn't have had any).
This year, we had 8.
We could have had more, but by cutting back some of the blossoms, we should get better tasting, jucier fruit, and
next year even more fruit!
I love lemons!

When I saw yours, I asked for a lemon tree for Christmas last year. I didn't get it:-( I am showing this to Jeff. He loves lemon pie. "See what you could have had":-)

Great job!

That is so cool. Do you put it outside during the summer? I love lemons also. If I were close to you I would be over for pie!

I didn't even know you could grow a lemon tree inside - goes to show you what I know.

The pie is just as beautiful as the tree - you are mighty talented honey! :)

I have never baked a pie in my life! Isn't that sad?!?

But I am more of a cake kind of gal :)

That is just too cool! I didn't know you could grow lemons in the house, or that a little tree would produce enough fruit for a pie. food for thought, literally!

That look very good! I love lemon pie! When I lived in South Florida, we had those and made great pies but up north... no such luck yet!
