Baby Names

So, I have been talking with the boys about what to name the baby. Mind you, we already have a girl's name (which not even the boys know), but after 3 boys, there are very few names we agree on. I have been telling the boys that we try to pick a saint's name for each of them.

Last week, Michael decided he wants to name the baby "Luke", and he is sticking with it no matter what the gender. Drew can't decide on any names. Peter, this morning, said, "How about Mary for a girl?" (not our pick, but I commended him on remembering picking a saint). Then he said, "How about Paul as in st. Paul for a boy?" (Again, another great saint, not on the list!). Peter then paused and said, "What about Jesus?" Which made Michael say, "I want a baby Jesus!" Very sweet, but again, we are at a loss for boys names.

Well, you certainly have plenty of time left to find the perfect name. We decided on our girl's name but then I had her and switched it up. It's just, you know, some kind of neat thing that happens. She was going to be Aiden William if a boy (we were never certain of her being a her until she was sectioned out). Then, we had our third, a boy, and were going to name him that but changed our minds. It's fun to think about though. I dreamed last night I had twins . . . the boy was Dominic Thomas and the girl was Ava Maria. Go, figure. I'm having loads of these dreams now that I am embarking on 40 and I hung up that fertility hope long ago . . . you know my story and if not, email me (on my blog there's an address). W/out going way into it, I bought the lie hook line and sinker and got a tubal. I so regret it. You have no idea how much!

So, enjoy every blessed moment!!

Names are so hard. Since I am new to your blog, I am not sure what your kids names are, but I have a Noah. It has become very popular over the years, but I still love it! I swear he was meant to be a Noah because he has a love for animals like you WOULDNT believe! The right name will just come to you!

When I was 6 (in the '60's), my dad asked me what a good name for a new baby brother would be. I said "Red Skelton." He asked for another choice. I said, "Oh, how about John F. Kennedy?" He said, "How about Chuck?" I said, "No, I really like John F. Kenneday." My brother, Chuck, recently turned 42. :-)

how about a name that can go either way depending on the gender . . . patrick or patricia; samuel or samantha; christopher or christina . . . okay, i'll stop now.

I like the name Luke...

When I was pregnant with both of my girls (before we knew they were girls) we picked Jakob Harrison for a boy's name. We had the hardest time agreeing on girl names... both times! Our poor youngest, we couldn't come up with her name until the day after she was born!

On the boys list is:
