First of all, thank you for all of the well wishes and prayers for baby. It gives me a sense of peace that I so desperately need right now.
I have to say that I have had some interesting conversations with the boys since we told them the other night. We have had the boy or girl discussion. Drew says girl, Michael says, "another brudder", and Peter says one of each. Sorry, but the ultrasound confirmed we are definitely having just one!
This afternoon, I had to laugh in the midst of getting sick. The boys were concerned as they heard me. I reassured them that it was just that the baby would make me feel sick for the next couple of weeks (please, Lord, let it go quickly!). Drew's response, "Mom, is the baby kicking you so hard that you're throwing up?!?" Michael's response, "Mom, you ate the baby and now you're sick!" I guess it would make sense that I ate the baby because it is in my tummy!
It's going to be a fun time between now and September! I'm just praying that Peter (at 8 1/2) doesn't start asking how the baby got in my tummy!

Just wait until they ask "How does the baby get out?" I'm sorry, but you know it's gonna happen.
Do you like tea? May be try some herbal tea -- that always helped me with the nausea. I drank tea all day long.
I'm thinking of you honey! :)
Therese...I hope this part of the pregnancy goes quickly for you. Not much helped me really...I guess, it was better if I kept something in my stomach and if I tried to distract myself with other things. Take it easy though, give yourself permission to rest.
Hugs to you!
Too funny! My girlfriend is pregnant and we've talked about the baby being in her tummy to Yaya. She just looks at her and seems baffled. The one thing she did do was try to lift her shirt to find the baby. Gotta love kids simple and wonderful minds.
When I was expecting on of my girls, my son who is the eldest asked how they got out. Trying to explain so a six year old could understand, was just to confusing for him so he asked if I would just show him. Telling him no, it was in a place that mommies do not show, he asked then if I could show him on one of his sisters.
He knows now, even if I did not show him.
I had morning sick with all my pregnancies. I'll never forget telling my doctor with my first pregnancy. "I'm sick all the time." She replies "GOOD! That means all is well." So sorry you're sick but YEAH, All is well. I gave my first week one trimester then willed it away. Little did I know that I would then have the lovely syatic (misspelled I know.) pain. But it's all worth it, right?
Love ya' Prayin' for you.

Therese,
I hope this part of the pregnancy goes fast too. I love the second trimester. No sickness and still not too big to be uncomfortable.
I remember some very interesting discussins here when I was pregnant with Christopher. Brigette asked many hows and wheres?
I can still remember her asking me some question and looking over at Steve who was busy laughing at me going red. She was so inquisitive then.
Therese
